Over the past year, we have been supporting a project called ‘Clean Freetown’ run by Gladys Cole and the Freetown City Council. The aim has been to aid with a city wide clean up of Freetown through the sharing of cleaning resources shipped over from Hull.
The successful project ended last week. New bye laws have been put in place to punish anybody committing ‘garbage’ offences and there are now 2 garbage collection days a week.
We are proud of Gladys Cole and all of her hard work and look forward to supporting the next stage of the campaign!
