On 20th January, London will host the UK-Africa Investment Summit. Africa’s success matters to the UK – and the UK has much to offer. The Department for International Development aims to create lasting partnerships for a better future for all. We have worked with DFID through Hull and Freetown’s school links and know just how great the potential is for the 2 twinned cities to take further part in the lasting partnerships.
‘The Summit will be hosted by the Prime Minister and will bring together businesses, governments and international institutions to showcase and promote the breadth and quality of investment opportunities across Africa. The Summit will strengthen the UK’s partnership with African nations to build a secure and prosperous future for all our citizens. It will mobilise new and substantial investment to create jobs and boost mutual prosperity.’ ~ DFID
The High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Simon Mustard (born and raised in Hull), has been promoting the summit on Sierra Leonian television.
