During Hull’s Freetown Week, a service was held at Hull Minster to celebrate the 40 years of our twinning. The service brought together people from both Hull and Freetown, from the Freetown Society as well as the Sierra Leone Society. Our President, the Lord Mayor of Hull was in attendance and the service was enjoyed by all present. Reverend Alan Bagshawe collated a lovely service recognising the importance of our twinning.
Our Vice Chair, Cecil Jones, performed a musical piece specially written for the service. All were moved. All were inspired. All will continue to ensure this partnership flourishes.
