In the last week, Sierra Leone has suffered some of the worst rains in over 40 years resulting in large areas of Freetown being flooded.

All schools and businesses were closed for 2 days at the height of the flooding.

Many homes have been destroyed with families taking shelter in the national stadium. UNICEF and other NGOs including Conforti are helping to provide food, water and clothing to those who have lost everything.

Sadly, some people may not be able to return to their homes, the government is currently working on a plan to relocate them.
