This coming weekend sees the Freedom Festival return to Hull. A celebration of culture and our own history; this festival represents the ideal stage from which to perform. During the afternoon of Saturday 3rd September, Stolen Lives will be putting on 2 separate performances. Children from St Mary’s College, Hymers College and Sirius North Academy will sing songs from the Stolen Lives project and narrate on the history of slavery and the work of local hero William Wilberforce. Stolen Lives’ work on the impact of slavery and the local ties Hull has to its abolition lends itself perfectly to this weekend’s celebration of freedom.

The children will put on a real show. It will be fantastic to see and hear these young voices sing and tell the story of freedom. For more information, visit Freedom Festival’s official event site below:
